The Defender SVX, or SVR, was spotted in secret while it was being tested
The 2024 Defender SVX, or Defender SVR, whatever its name is, was recently spotted in secret while it was being tested with the British company's engineers in Germany.
Like migratory birds as the seasons change, car makers are leaving the snow-covered north of Europe to test the cold weather and return to the Nürburgring in Germany to test the speed of upcoming new cars on the famously difficult track. Today we are talking about the SVX or SVR high-performance version of the Land Rover Defender. Which was spotted in a spy video attached to this news near the ring.
Watch the spy video that shows a test version of the 2024 Defender SVX disguised under camouflage:
We would like to remind you of the last thing we talked about about Land Rover Defender cars:
Land Rover's chief engineer wants to see a Defender pickup.
This is what distinguishes the new Defender V8 car.
A new decision from Land Rover to increase the production of new Defender cars.
According to the video, the camouflage in the test versions hides the details in the front of the new 2024 car, which will represent the highest performance version of the new Land Rover Defender, but it seems that the mesh panels hide large openings in the corners of the front and grille, as previous spy shots published by the attached motor1 show its photos within this news. Along the sides comes the SUV with extended fenders, the video shows two demo versions of this model; The Defender 90 Coupe rides on black 10-spoke wheels, and the Defender 110 is a 4-door car with a lot of louvres, as previous spy shots show that it rides on BFGoodrich Trail Terrain T / A tires.
At the rear, a pair of circular exhaust pipes shows the design from just below the bumper, otherwise the 2024 Defender SVX looks like any version of the current Defender.
The high-performance SUV is said to use BMW's 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged V8 instead of the supercharged 5-liter V8 available in the Defender V8, and this new German engine available on the new X5 M Competition and X6 M Competition produces powerful power 617 hp and 750 Nm of torque, however, the performance numbers of this English car could be different.
We do not yet know when the 2024 Defender SVX might debut, but it seems that development is in an advanced stage, so its premiere may be this year, God willing.
